For international (non-EU) students UHI provides a “no increase” guarantee for four years continuous full time study only (i.e. fees are held at same level thoughout course).
Funding
The following paragraphs contain information about possible funding support for tuition fees only. Please consult the 'student life' section of this site to find out about support schemes (student loans, grants, bursaries) to help with living and travelling expenses.
Residents of Scotland
If you are a registered resident of Scotland and have not already been funded for a higher education qualification, your tuition fees will normally be paid by the Students Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS). Students must apply every year before fees can be paid - it will be paid straight to the institution. Please apply to SAAS as early as possible before the start of the course (closing date is 30 June 2009 for entry in autumn).
Students with a need for additional support should contact us asap to access the necessary support from the outset.
Residents of England, Wales and Northern Ireland
Residents of England and Wales are normally funded by their local education authority, and residents of Northern Ireland by their local education and library board. For up to date information on entitlement, contact the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills for England and Wales and the Department of Education for Northern Ireland. Undergraduates based in England/Wales who study full-time in Scotland are usually eligible for student loans but not deferment of fees.
EU nationals (non-UK) applying for full-time study (not exchange students)
Non-UK EU nationals, EU overseas territories nationals or the family members of either as well as residents of three years or more in an EU country/overseas territory/EEA/Switzerland applying for full-time study with the intention to graduate and how have not previously been publically funded for studying at higher education level are usually eligible for having their tuition fees paid.
